The On-Ramp project has five partners who are working together to provide computer and Internet training for people with developmental disabilities and everyone else who would like a step-by-step program to teach them to use computers and the Internet.
- The project is funded by the Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities in response to people with disabilities telling them that learning to use computers and the Internet is very important to them. The ACDD is itself funded by the federal Administration on Developmental Disabilities.
- TheArcLink Incorporated is a non-profit organization that creates and maintains websites that are accessible to people with developmental disabilities, their families, and supporters. TheArcLink also provides training for its websites and for specific projects of disability organizations.
- People First of Alabama is an organization of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It helps people connect and learn in order to build their dreams and then make them happen. People First does this by supporting each other in gaining control over their lives and make their own plans and decisions.
- The Arc of Alabama is an organization of people with developmental disabilities, their families and friends, and professions who support them. The Arc has goals like those of People First, and also advocates for people with disabilities about government policies at every level.
- Volunteers of America Southeast is a major service provider for people with developmental disabilities in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. VOASE has two computer training centers in Alabama.
